MLB All-Star Teams Announced

Major League Baseball (MLB) has announced the players who will be the starters for the 2015 All-Star Game on July 14th in Cincinnati.

With the exception of the starting pitcher for both teams, each position player starting the game is voted in through popular voting.

The following players were voted to start the All-Star game:

American League

Catcher: Salvador Pérez (Kansas City Royals)
First Base: Miguel Cabrera (Detroit Tigers)
Second Base: Jose Altuve (Houston Astros)
Third Base: Josh Donaldson (Toronto Blue Jays)
Shortstop: Alcides Escobar (Kansas City Royals)
Outfielder: Mike Trout (Los Angeles Angels)
Outfielder: Lorenzo Cain (Kansas City Royals)
Outfielder: Alex Gordon (Kansas City Royals)
Designated Hitter: Nelson Cruz (Seattle Mariners)

Due to Miguel Cabrera being injured, Albert Pujols will start at first base, and Mark Teixeira fills the spot on the team that Cabrera would have filled.
